[ January 23, 2008; 8:00 pm to 10:40 pm. ] Wath, White Rose Morris and Barnsley Longsword meet together for an evening of song and dance at the Railway pub on Huddersfield Railway Station starting around 8.00pm. This event has become a regular in the calendar and provides a traditional evening in a very traditional setting.
January 23rd sees the first dance out of 2008 when Wath travel to join White Rose Morris Men at Huddersfield Railway Station at approx 8.30 pm. This is now a regular event in the team’s calendar when a good night is guaranteed in front of a real live fire like we all remember.
The two mumming tours, in Wentworth and Wath, raised a total of £355.00 from the collections. This money is to be divided equally between Bluebell Wood Children’s Hospice and Swinton Lock Centre. Cheques will be officially presented to representatives of each organization as part of the Boxing Day tour.
