Wath, White Rose Morris Men and Barnsley Longsword are meeting up for a combined dance out at the ‘Head of Steam’ on the station from 8.30pm. This is a repeat of several other combined events held at the station and we are looking forward to an equally enjoyable occasion.

The team found themselves stars in one of the films exhibited at this years film festival at the Waggon and Horses in Langsett. They were filmed singing in the Chapel at Langsett as part of a film depicting something of life in times gone by. We have had no enquiries from agents as yet but you never know!
Bouts and a few friends who were responsible for arranging and hosting the team’s visit to Belgium a few years ago are coming to Wath for a few days later this month. They will be staying in the Sandygate Hotel on Friday, Saturday and Sunday 23rd, 24th and 25th and are looking forward to meeting some old friends. Call in and say Hello if you can.
We are looking for one or two dance teams to join us in Wath for a dance tour on the Saturday of the May Festival. This would involve dancing and taking part in the street activities in the morning before leaving on an afternoon dance tour of the area. A generous buffet meal is included. The team are no longer practicing at The Red Lion in Wath. The pub has been closed for some time and we have now arranged to meet each Tuesday at 8.00pm in the Rugby Club on Moor Road. Hopefully this will become a permanent arrangement which is an interesting development since the team began its life in the Rugby Club some 30+ years ago — and there are several dancers who remember it well!
